My style has evolved over the last 20 years, but its roots lie in Abstract Expressionism.
I paint mostly large-scale pieces in acrylic and oil on linen. I use palette knives, brushes, water, pouring techniques and gravity to layer and distribute paint, which creates both texture and movement in my work.
My initial influences were Mark Rothko, Jackson Pollack and Pablo Picasso. More recently I have been inspired by Gerhard Richter, Pat Steir, John DiPaolo and Gustavo Ramos Rivera.
